Your data
Take all of it. Delete all of it. Any time.
Your journal belongs to you on every plan, including Free.
What we store
Only what the journal needs.
- Account
- Your name, email, a bcrypt password hash (or your Google account id), your time zone, and your plan.
- Entries
- What you wrote, plus the reflection, tags, moments and question derived from it, sealed together with AES-256-GCM. The date, the hour, and whether the care screen tripped are stored in the clear so the strata can be ordered.
- Pattern reports
- The sentences and the ids of the entries they cite, sealed the same way.
- Billing
- Stripe holds your card. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription ids.
- Demo
- Nothing. The homepage demo reads your line and forgets it.
Export
Everything, in open formats.
- Markdown. Every entry, oldest first, with its reflection and tags. Readable anywhere.
- JSON. Your account, every entry with its full reading, and every pattern report.
- Art. Any stratum as PNG or SVG; months and years as PDF posters on paid plans.
Exports always include every entry you have written, including entries older than the free plan's 30-day view.
Delete
Real delete, not hide.
- One entry. From the entry page. Saved pattern reports that might cite it are removed too.
- All entries. From Settings. Entries, reflections, tags and reports are purged; your account stays.
- Your account. From Settings. Everything above, plus your account, sessions and tokens. Any subscription is canceled.
Deletion is immediate in the live database. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days. Questions: privacy@daystrata.com.
